Eventual octopus home

Both bimacs appear to be doing well in their separate tanks. Upon arrival the smaller was only about 3/4 inch mantle, the larger about twice that. In the three weeks since I received them the larger has settled into a predominately live clam diet and has about tripled in size. The growth of the smallest one has been difficult to evaluate as neither will leave their caves in my presents. Reliable live food sources remain an issue, especially for the smallest. I have been able to obtain some very small shore crabs and It has twice taken frozen krill by hand. Our local Asian market usually stock quite small clams at a reasonable price, but a large percent are dead or dying.

Great to hear! Sounds like it's going well. Too bad about the clams... if it's not good enough for an octo, it's not good enough for anyone!
