What is the best way to feed the small feeder clams to an octopus, so they dont burrow and get lost? Also are the clams a better food source or are the coastal shrimp better?
Some of our current bimac owners could best answer this - I believe some of them put the clams in small containers, like plastic bottlecaps.
The clams seem good for bimacs - the coastal shrimp are difficult for a young octopus to catch. But the clams don't seem to do well in higher temperatures, so wern't good for baby briareus.
