[Octopus]: New juvenile briareus

Super happy today because I finally got Salia to stick feed! She’s now big enough that I can cut a chunk small enough for her to eat but that’s big enough to fit on the stick! 🤣. She took a tiny piece of wild caught “Gulf shrimp,” and was pretty greedy about it- which I like to see!
I’ve been lazy about posting, but all is well- and I’ve finally gotten some videos! Here’s one…

Salia, the juvenile O.briareus stalks and captures hermit crabs in her reef garden. With no violence or gore, she swiftly descends upon the unknowing crabs and envelopes them in the dense webbing between her arms. She then retreats to her den, where she will quietly enjoy her dinner! For LL 💙
