If you're using an overflow, I assume you're going to run a sump, but you don't seem to list any sump components (the sump itself and the return pump). Also, when you listed the octopus you neglected the FedEx overnight shipping on it, which is going to be $50-75. But in reality, that $75 will be dwarfed by other cost overruns

So what exactly is the difference between an overflow box and a sump? what exactly makes something a sump besides a small plumbed tank under the show aquarium for filtration and skimming?
sorry for the dumb question, im trying to work out a budget myself.
