Protien Skimmers?

Ok there are sooo many protien skimmers I can choose from and they are very expensive. I don't know which one to choose for an octopus. I really don't know the difference between them.
Im going to try and get one from www.fishsupply.com in the suppplies section and the protiem skimmers section.
Also, should I get one that goes in the water, or a skimmer that hangs on the wall???

Better get a hang-on as an internal one will get messed about with by the octopus too much
