I have been playing more with textures, and I really like this technique (not quite there yet). Think of it as a graven image, carved by the Cthulhu-Spawn themselves.

Problem with photoshop is there are so many effects you can play with you eventually end up with something far from your original idea. At least that's my problem.

Love all of them. Especially the green one with the glowing eyes! I think I can faintly hear it beckoning me...
