ive heard of certain animals not being able to see red light like most fish and reptiles but does anyone know if octopus can see this. if they cant im thinking of getting a red moon light on my tank. n e ideas?

Felix is right, they can't see red. That's why red moonlights are recommended for nocturnal octos - or any octo, for that matter.
