Can squid escape from their tanks like octos can?

nah, not like an octopus can......

ever seen how a space rocket takes off? That's probably more like it....

got to see a whole shoal of them do that in the NRCC squid tanks. At least they have curved edges so they slide back in with no damage

Can cuttle fish do the same?

My cuttlefish tank was open topped so in theory they could have came out the water but other than squirting water out the top they never went carpet surfing.

I would think though that it is possible as they can move at great speed when need be.
