Simple,
If you can manage it (since you only have 5 fingers ...) gently touch the back of the arm that is being grabby with a free finger. This worked well with both Octane and OhToo when they were learning to play. Neal is having a bit of difficulty using the method with SueNami though (briareus) even though she only has 6 usable arms (she does not come to my hand at all yet but seems to like Neal's fingers). With Beldar (Macropus X), simply raising the grabby arm to the surface works but that was not a successful method with the hummelincki.
