Hi, I’m have had a reef tank for almost a year and have been fascinated with the idea of trying octopus husbandry.. 7 months later I bought a used Fluval flex 32.5g (was used for almost a year) and kept as much of the bacteria as I could and I added some live rock that I had been cycling in a bucket for almost 4 months.

I haven’t managed to identify the species yet (photo below) but it has been a fun 10 days so far.

Feeding him every other day with red claw crabs (since they’re readily available in the LFS), I have also attached a video of him feeding.

His (or her) mantle is about 5~7cm long

Like the video! It ‘s interesting to watch your octopus tuck his food under him and go walking off.
