I have read that it is possible to somewhat identify cuttles buy showing themself in a mirror and they will typically display aggresive behavior, however some females will also. Will octos also follow these same behaviors, because I used a mirror on Ollie, and she/she could seem to have cared less.

I've heard of mirrors working with cuttlefish and also squid, I believe, but not with octos. But maybe someone else knows more.
