You can clearly see the two sets of diverging tubercule strips originating at the mantle-funnel fusion points, which is distinctive of the genus.

OMG! How did I miss all this amazing Liocranchia content? Shame on me! This is such an interesting photo! Not something you see frequently, even in the lab.

yes, we were debating if we could narrow it to species! It's likely L. reinhardti; however, I note that the dorsal tubercles indicative of that species are not clearly visible which makes a confirmed ID a challenge. Really great footage, though!

does l. valdiviae have a smaller fin? the fin size on this one threw me off given the ginormous fins from some of the l. reinhardti individuals over the last year.
