Dear Ceph Enthusiasts,

my parents brought me these two nice fossils from their stay near Solnhofen. They look like belemnite fossils but that's about all I can say... Any additional information (family?) would be highly appreciated!

Thank you in advance and best wishes,

Stefan

I think they are Belemnites, with the rostrum and phragmocone preserved. Nice fossils, they look like they have been sawn and polished, so probably didn't come from the quarries at Solnhofen, where they usually preserve the soft parts also. I really don't know a lot about Belemnites, there is only one form around here, so if someone from the local area could chime in maybe they could tell us more about your fossils.
