I'm a scientific illustrator and I recently made available my reconstruction of the Devonian fossil ammonoid Tornoceras mesopleuron at my cafepress shop: http://www.cafepress.com/emilydamstra/4464533
The species is rare, though the genus is not. The fossil on which the illustration is based is from Ontario. A paleontologist gave me some guidance, but no one really knows what the soft parts or color looked like. The painting is gouache paint; you can see the image in my profile picture.
I thought some of you cephalopod enthusiasts might be interested.
Thanks,
Emily
