A sad Day

Well today I woke up and found that my octo was out and moving around.......? Well I thought that was weird because he is never out and he was acting funny(not like him).. By the time I got home there he was next to the heater dead..... I tested for everything in the world, everything was awesome, amm 0. nitrate 0, nitrite 0, 8.2 ph, salinity 1.023...Am I missing anything.....
