Please could someone help me identify my Octopus?

Hi,

Please could someone Identify my Octopus for me as seen below? I have tried doing my research on the internet, but i can't be sure of what she is.

My immediate guess is O. vugaris (AKA the common octopus). It is the only one listed as native around the UK and much of Europe but you have not said if you know where it came from.

Hi, thanks for replying. My wife took it as a rescue from someone who got it from TMC and said it was just labelled "Octopus" she also thought she might be O Vugaris or a macrotritopus defillipi. We have a 9ft tank cycling for her when lockdown ends and we can get glass cut to make a lid.
