Ocythoe tuberculata (known commonly as the tuberculate pelagic octopus OR the football octopus) is the only species in the genus Ocythoe. It is a member of the argonauts.

you can see the relationship to the paper nautilus but this one appears (at least in the photo) to be more esthetically pleasing :biggrin2: The paper nautilus is arguably the ugliest octopus I have seen in photos but would still like the chance to see one alive in person.

Well, once you've seen badly preserved Octopus in a jar... the paper nautilus looks like a work of creative genius! haha! These guys are pretty cool looking. I really like the big cartoony eye!
