Helle everybody and thanks for a great and very informative site!
I'm doing my research starting from scratch in order to provide the best possible care and environment for my future octopus (I'm going for a Bimac, but EVERYTHING (equipment, water, escapeproof, environment and so on) needs to be top nodge beforehand) and that process I want to know which species should be avoided, either because of rarity or because they are potentially harmful to humans.
We all know and have read about the blue ring and all octos, are venomous in some degree. But I can't find any real documentation on the "Mototi" and for what I understand so far packs a powerful venom to humans?
Are there any research that would help clarify the degree of venom this octopus has? Perhaps experience with this species?Bare in mind that I have already discharged this octopus as a candidate, but my question is simply out of curiousity.
Thank you for your reply, in advance.
