what most dont know was that this creature was referred to in ancient times as the beast that carried hannibal into battle during the european invasion and not the land dwelling "elephant" which also explains how he crossed the mediterrainian with them. of course he couldnt carry the elephant on a ship they were too big so instead he wrangled up himself some octophants before he made landfall and trained the intelligent creatures for battle manuvers
