Amphitretus is the only genus in the family Amphitretidae. It currently contains 2 species, although there is some debate whether or not they are simply morphs of 1 species. This genus is commonly known as the telescope octopus, due to the eyes being on long stalks (reminiscent of a telescope):wink:.
