Hey everyone, my Dad received 2006 guiness book for Christmas, and I turned to a random page and found this.

Largest eye-to-body ratio
"Vampyroteuthis infernalis - literally, the 'vampire squid from hell' - resides in tropical waters at depths of over 1,970 ft (600 m). It has a max body length of 11 in (28cm) and eyes with a diameter of .9 in (2.5cm) - a ratio of 1:11, the greatest in the animal kingdom. The human equivalent would be eyes the size of table- tennis paddles."

This is a brand new record!

I think we hold a record for most ceph enthusists in one webspace!!!!

I have a similar, if yet slightly more obscene random fact like that. So if you are under the age of 13 look away now blah dee blah!

Anyway the barnacle has the largest penis in relation to it's body size, being over 12 times larger than the body itself. This means that your average man would be able to boast something in teh region of 60 feet (around 18 metres).
