why do octos need a protein skimmer

Once you see how much junk a skimmer removes from the water, you will be sold...I regard skimmers as a necessary part of the filtration, they are simple, relatively inexpensive, and easy to use and maintain...no negative points!

They also put a lot of oxygen into the water which helps again.

Dont skimp on the skimmer :)
