why are octos better than cuttlefish or visa versa

You can't say that octos or cuttles are better. They're both intelligent and interesting to keep.

Cuttles (S. officinalis) are more difficult to keep than bimacs because they require such a large tank. We also have less experience keeping them.

Well cuttles ink alot more than octos but once it's settled down its not too much of a problem. Cuttles also do not seem to ship as well as octos. Like Nancy said both of them are very interesting creatures so its really more of a personal preference ( and tank space).
