Interesting to note that I am not the first to think the world is becoming too complicated for many and there are factions trying to return us to the dark ages where God was the answer to all questions and women were chattel.

But aside from that, Denise, you're in good company; there is a frightfully tiny proportion of people out there who are willing to take on the apparently burdensome ( ) task of being comfortable with a world full of multidimensional issues, gray areas, uncertainty, and nuance and thinking in a way that accounts for it all.

Instead of using a small scalpel, they want to hit it with a two-by-four.
