Vampyroteuthis

'twas Octobot but I try to remember to keep bio articles here when they show up about a specific species. This subforum has a goodly number but FINDING it is difficult.

I would really like the opportunity to see one of these. I was delighted to find that they have been able to keep them alive in a tank for several months as the last I read it was only hours.
 
Thank you for this thread and the articles! I am currently doing my research on vampire squids and examining their radula under the SEM. I definitely agree that vampire squid have a soft-bodied diet.
