I am requesting TONMO community assistance in finding publicly available You Tube videos featuring cephalopods engaged in the passing cloud displays. Ideal videos have 3 or more passing clouds in succession and have a cephalopod that can be IDed at least to genus. The quality needs to be good enough to clearly count the number of passing clouds that occur in a period of time and get an accurate id on the ceph involved.

A list of what I've found so far is below. Some of these are from TONMO members. If you find something I've missed, please email me at jamesbwood2000(at)gmail.com with the words passing cloud in the title. This is for a paper I'm collaborating with Dr. Roland Anderson on; the turn around time is ASAP!

Sadly, I can't help. I've been on the lookout for one for some time for Jennifer Mather. I was SURE I'd taken one but nope.......It'e certainly not a common display in Pinnoctopus cordiformis at least not in the aquarium!

Thanks for the help. Below is the revised table of what I have so far. More is better - bigger sample size. Additionally, I could really use more species diversity. Any new species but I'm specifically looking for O. vulgaris, Sepia officinalis and any sp of Sepioteuthis or squid. I've seen Sepioteuthis do PC while hunting, but not often. . .

Thanks to both of you for these additional videos; I can use them both. TONMO members are welcome to post additional videos of Passing Cloud Displays, however, I'm going to submit what I have now for the publication. Again, thank you very much for your help. One of the great things about PCDs is that they are highly visible and amazing so people film them. This will be the first research paper I've ever submitted where the behaviors being discussed are entirely from publicly sourced videos from here, You Tube searches and colleagues.

I don't know what happened to the one I posted from Anna DeLoach the other day. I will add it in case you can still use it as it was an excellent broadclub display. She sent me a note asking to post it for you and I added it but it seems to have disappeared.

Whew, mystery solved. I posted it to an older thread when you were looking for something similar . FORTUNATELY, not a problem with the new site!
