You can buy them that way but they still have a musk the will leave an odor in the house.

This has not been my experience. Descented skunks have exceptionally little body odour (mine smells less than the dog and certainly a LOT less than even the female ferrets).

If a descented skunk is managing to musk or smell unpleasant it was either incorrectly descented, is under immense stress or is being fed incorrectly. Probably the former in your case.
LOL, we seem to have strayed a long way from the original topic at any rate.
