Is the Pinnoctopus cordiformis a cold water species like our GPO?

I love the white spots on this animal.

They're found round most of coastal NZ.

I know....... I couldn't believe my eyes when he spread out, absolutely the biggest I've ever seen!

Makes sweet pea (our octopus) look like a piece of plankton next to Davy and she's big for a lesser.

Ah to have a big octopus again one can only dream

No they tend to stay white.

wow!!!! He's huge!

Ever thought of feeding the school children to him if he gets very hungry? Or if he puts on a good enough show?

Bit of positive reinforcement there!

He is a bit of a charmer, no we haven't thought of feeding the schoolkids to him (not seriously anyway........honest). Actually we're a bit concerned, he's down to only one crab per day, so I think we'll be releasing him soon (at least if I have my way we will!!)

here's a view taken from a distance of him smooshed against the glass at the bottom right hand corner! To give you some scale, I'm 5 foot 6 inches and the top wooden surround of the tank is just above my head!
