Hello! I'm new poster, longtime lurker and just ended up moving to the Houston area. As such, I'd love to visit the NRCC in Galveston. However, the website is currently down and I'm not sure they even allow casual visitors.

Does anyone here know about the feasibility of visiting the NRCC solely to hang out with lots of cephalopods and if so, who I would contact about that?

Thank you all very much!

That's a shame, if not surprising; I got worried when it seemed like their web presence had more or less vanished. Thank you for the info, though.

Moody Gardens, where the NRCC used to be located, has an Aquarium Pyramid and last time I checked, had octopuses and nautilus for viewing. So a trip to Galveston might be interesting even without the NRCC. Go in the fall, after the tourists have left.
