Hey tonmo,

Here's a TONMO update for your Sunday. I'll start with TONMOCON VIII: happily, we are now in the brainstorming mode, figuring out details and agenda for the big event. If you've been denning under a rock (heh), you may not have heard it will be at MBL in Woods Hole, MA, over the weekend of October 16-18, 2020 (Friday night - Sunday). We already have a bunch of registrants AND presenters, and we haven't even started sharing an agenda yet! We've never had so much committment so early, and for good reason: there have been many advances in the ceph space since our last conference, and much of it conducted right out of MBL. If you are interested in presenting, please get to me soon. If you haven't registered, have a go:

Ok, lots to catch up on; here's what else is happening around the community:

It's been a couple of months since I sent a Newsletter, but way back in January I announced the latest addition to the TONMO Staff roster, Peter Killian (pkilian)! Say hello to him here; you can even wish him a belated Happy Birthday, which was yesterday:

· [Featured]: Welcome Peter Kilian (pkilian) to TONMO staff!

We've sold several bimacs to the community at this point, with great success. If you are in the market, we currently have two bimacs available for sale (US only):

· [NOW AVAILABLE]: Two small bimacs

TONMO member JLeigh is looking for insights on optimal filtration systems for bimacs, who can assist?

· Anya, O. briareus

Staff member Dr. James Wood (ceph) has a shop located in Florida, and we've set up a decided forum for him to share his wares. No online orders just yet, but watch this space!:

· Dr. James has an Aquarium Shop

Our old pal Phil Eyden (Phil) is back with a new article about two giant squid which curiously washed ashore in England in the 1930's. Don't miss this delightful read!

· ARTICLE: New England's Architeuthis

New in our Cephalopod Journals, amazing mimic behavior from TONMO Supporter (tduncan's') O. hummelincki, named Inky:

· [Octopus]: Inky the Octopus hummelincki

Dr. Roy Caldwell (Neogonodactylus) has contributed a bunch of amazing new photos for our gallery, including an undescribed / unknown species:
