[News]: Taningia attacks!

OK, the shots of the photophores in action are just plain incredible! This is a MUST see but go to YouTube with the link to see it larger (not great in full screen though)
 
Another point of interest is the squid's orientation. It's below the camera platform, but the fluttering siphon is clearly visible. It's either upside-down (to us, anyway), or hanging vertically, in a tail-down posture and using its fins to maintain position. Reminds me of an old acquaintance's complaint about sci-fi space battles: "Why do they always stick to the horizontal plane?" Taningia, it seems, does what it wants in any direction.
