new octopus 2011

they really are so quick to change shape and colour, it makes them hard to follow in the camera screen.
No octopus to been seen today, plenty of empty crab shells and oyster shells.

So heres a couple of "other" things I see.

I think I would have to try a nudibranch tank if I lived close to the water and saw some of the ones you have photographed. They are delicate and, from what I have read, feeding them is the major problem so living near their natural habitat where you could obtain (assuming you can isolate it) their proper diet seems to be key to keeping them successfully.

Did you feed your octopus offering to a lobster (crayfish)?

I think having a nudi tank would be a lot more work than any other type of set up, the food supply would be a major headache then there's the problem of them going through the pumps. On the plus side the colours are truley amazing.

D, if you are talking about feeding the hingeback shrimp, if I have some food left over I feed whatever I find. Today I even fed the moray eels and got a couple more pictures. I can't go home without using the camera, it's wet so I use it :biggrin2:
