Introducing the new member in the home.
A (male??) Mercatoris.
During acclimation it was shooting water out of the container.

This is the tank that the O. Mercatoris is in.
It is a 3.7 gallon built in filtration style system. I have DIY protein skimmer on it although it is not necessary for this species, I built it and decided to leave it.

Just out of curiosity, why keep it in such a tiny tank? 3.7 gallons is pretty tiny for anything but corals & macroalgae…

I wanted to try. It is a small enough species who meets the weight/gallon ratio I have determined.
I have a few species that meet my requirements who are scheduled in the future

It is as much about care as it is displaying for me. There is no point in putting a wallet sized photo in a 5' × 4' picture frame is there?
