It is dark out and my octo isnt moving..... Shouldnt they be moving at night being nocturnal and all? By the way can an octo hurt its eyes?
 
Hasn't he been up during the day? There are times they don't move- they just sit in their den - and even times they sleep. Don't expect him to move all the time. Or he may know you're watching him.

Its probably Octopus cyanea you have.. also called the day octopus
