The battle for the future of the oceans begins:
Scientists fight deep-sea bottom trawling
I seem to remember on the "special features" section of one of my "Blue Planet" DVD's in which one of our resident scientists (hint: His first name starts with a "Steve" and ends in an "O'Shea") mentions the problems associated with deep-sea trawling and the threats faced by deep sea organisms such as the newly discovered deep sea corals. Is this an important issue? You bet.
