So I found this octopus at my LFS. Wondering what species it could be. Mantle length was around 1-2 inches.

Not a lot to go on but my first impression is O. vulgaris because of the eyes. However, many, many species have been placed in and out of this nomenclature because most octos can resemble the "common" octopus in some of its colorations.

There almost looks like an eyespot (which would suggest O. hummelincki - rarely displays all white thouch) but that may be shadow.
