i was watching the history channel earlier today and a show came on about shark attacks in 1916... it took a second to register in my brain, but in the course of the show they interviewed richard ellis, due to his earlier works concerning sharks... pretty interesting show...
 
Yes, Richard Ellis is indeed a member of this forum... Haven't seen him post yet. I know he's busy with a couple of books in the works:

In April, Island Press will publish "The Empty Ocean," which is about the
depletion of the world's marine resources, fishes, sharks, whales,
dolphins, seals, sea lions, coral reefs, etc.

Then in September, the University Press of Kansas will publish his book "Sea Dragons," which is about the great predatory marine reptiles that were the equivalent of seagoing dinosaurs: ichthyosaurs, plesiosaurs, and mosasaurs.
