In the bibliography of Hanlon/Messenger, I saw reference to portions of the 1983 book shown in the thread title. I ordered it from Amazon, sight unseen. Volume 2 was obscenely expensive.
Does anyone have any familiarity with this book and/or any comment or observations on it?

Edited by P. R. Boyle. Dr. Hanlon has a couple of articles in it, as shown in the bibliography of his Cephalopod Behaviour.
