i stand somewhat corrected, id never seen it before but the dictionary has an alternate spelling with a 'c' in it.... well shoot...

WK, you are correct, sir! Flak is the correct spelling of the anti aircraft air exploding projectile guns...the brits also called it "ak-ak" (jeez, sounds like the martians from Mars Attacks)
