I have got to stop looking at stuff! I have not told Neal that I got this (not a good time right now) but how could I pass up a porthole with an octo pendant (even if it only has 4 arms) after she cut the initial offering price by 3/4?

I'd rate it as a good buy! But that's the trouble, there are a lot of good buys on EBay and elsewhere on the web.

I've already got the octo version of this -- which cost a whole lot less, even with the colored light base -- and didn't have to be shipped from Мать Россия. Unfortunately, this merchant seems to be the only one on the entire net who's selling the squid version.... and not only is shipping pricey, but their feedback contains numerous "neutral" responses.

I set up a small Xmas tree in the breakfast room (where most of my tanks reside) and use lampwork beads for ornaments. This one is way out of my price range but the creator actually has an understanding of octopuses and did a good job with his write-up as well as making an interesting bead:
