Breaking news from Portobello; kinda sad kinda exciting

Hands down getting to help design a new system after working several years with the old is a major win!

Oh yeah! I think I'll be mainly working with interp, practical skills are not my forte! If I'm allowed I will try to post pics of what we're up to!

Ok so we have some temp tanks set up, 2 red sea max tanks, plus chillers.

Tank one is a kind of rock pool simulation and tank two is sandy bottom with Baby Red Gurnard Chelidonichthys kumu, Bobtails Sepioloidea pacifica and sand dollars Fellaster sp. Pretty cool and our bobtails have been mating (during the day too!)

Oh and the two hexagonal tanks you can see in the right hand corner of pic one are for our Seahorses and Pipefish, horrid tanks, sods to clean and the light fittings are rather close to the water

hopefully, maintenance will be high on the list of considerations for the new aquarium

Oh yes, we all have our wish lists and when the new aquarium is built we can get rid of those hexagonal tanks!

for the Uni, this is light speed work () oh yes and we've just bought a kreisal tank! Will post pics when it's unpacked!

OK so, some more interim displays, modular so they can be moved when the new aquarium is builPics 1 & 2 show a "wall of tanks" and a mock up of signage.............will be coloured! photo 2 is one test of bench arrangement for a plankton display and photo 3 aour new Kriesel tank for the plankton!
