Gloomy Octopus/O. Tetricus (Please confirm correct species identification) in a rock pool at Depot Beach, NSW, Australia, in November 2021.
We sat on the edge of the rock pool watching him hunt small crabs, and then in this video you can see he pulls himself out of the water to look at this. After this, we had several interactions where he explored our hands and legs.
